Thought I would post a photo of a family piece while it's kind of slow around here. This shaving scuttle belonged to my mom's grandfather. She wanted me to have it since none of my siblings are interested and she knows I will display it with my pieces. I picked at her about the roses and told her maybe it belonged to her grandmother instead of her grandfather. She also has her great grandfather's as well and will give it to me as soon as she can find it.

Thanks for showing us, Bass. Those are some brilliant Victorian roses, and that scuttle has been well used. I've only found pieces in the wild.

I recommend a nice silver tip badger hair brush and a good straight razor and start using it!!

I may try that. Been using electric razor while driving to work every morning at 0400 am. it's convenient but there's nothing better than a fresh shave with a straight razor
