So there was so much iron and junk on the beach the detector wasn't too useful, but there was so much old thick glass I changed my treasure hunt to glass treasure!
Brown green and white, but also some huge purple(more about those later) turquoise, seafoam, stained glass, a pink, cobalt blue and more! We found a portion of a cobalt blue lens as well.
Here are some necklaces we made including some very rare reds and the red heart shape "The Heart of Chicago".
The square huge purple is a vault light or prism lens, it is dated with "Patented Sept 14 1909". At 8oz it's too big to wear, but an awesome paperweight!
All this well worn glass will eventually become something. Anything too modern will be recycled.
Thanks for looking!
