I was at my in-laws house last night admiring their china cabinet when a piece caught my eye. I asked if they knew anything about its history and the mother-in-law said that it was a wedding gift to her grandmother in 1934 in England. After cleaning it I took some photos, unfortunately I didn't have a blacklight with me to do an easy test. I couldn't see any maker's marks, there were several bubbles in the glass, and a few light scratches. about 14" wide at the rim
the second piece is about 6" tall, and is obviously hand-blown. It has a ruffled spout, applied handle, and a mark on the base from where it was detached. They knew nothing about the vase other than it was passed down to them from a relative in England.
Has anyone seen anything similar to these pieces?
