Went kayaking today- as it must have been the MOST perfect day to go kayaking... and found a beautiful aqua/pale blue square (maybe 8-10 inches)- embossed :
THE GOTTSCHALK CO
BALTIMORE, MD.
and on the othe side:
ROYAL
DRY GIN

I haven't got a clue as to age. I usually find recent stuff... Sorry, no pic.

Wow, thanks, you guys! I couldn't get anything on alcohol and the Gottschalks. I really appreciate it. It insitu was amazing-- just a bottom corner edge peeking out. I thought for sure it would be just another broken-off bottle butt. But the whole thing came out clean (edge of river) w/ no dings, no chips, no errors! Happy dance in the 'pluff mud', as they call it around here...
Again, sorry about the no-pic thing. I'll get a cheap dig. cam. soon and try to get some stuff up.
