It was a construction site we had permission to hunt,on the down side of hill with the foundation dug out pretty deep. On looking in the hole I was seeing pieces of broken glass, bones, oyster shells, and even a few whole bottles.we soon put up the dectectors after I dug a nice oil lamp part and the mister dug an ornate brass reins holder and we started digging around.we ended up finding an old Myars Wonderful Remedy bottle,a tiny embossed Listerine bottle, a few broken crown tops, milk glass but nothing any older. We didn't have our potato rake with us but next time we go back should we start digging in the ashy foundation wall? I saw one level of the dirt that looked hard packed and like it had charcoal running through it. I tried to dig around a little with my shovel and pull the dirt in on me a little bit but it was getting dark.

Most definitely dig in that wall. Just don't put yourself in a dangerous situation with a cave-in. Keep following the trash, it will lead you to the glass. Please let us know the outcome

Thanks Bass. We were hoping to get back there today before the rain came today but no such luck.

Yes sir Bass! The bottles are soaking now. I found a really strange shaped milk glass object. Solid but shaped like a horseshoe with flowers,a trumpet perhaps on both sides and two linked horseshoes on the end.

Probably not, but the suspense is killing us. Like a friend of mine Colonel Kurtz once said..."The horror, the horror"
