Hit the beach, had to stay local (wife) so I couldn't meet up with Jim. That being said, nothing dug is out of the ordinary but it felt good to get out and get a workout and catch some sun.
so the total is: two acme shoe darkeners, a Dr. Something castoria and the rest were slicks. .

Just to show the preservative qualities of the Hudson River mud...I'm guessing a cigar box with writing still on it, probably from the mid to late 1800'summer

Lastly, amongst the muck and mire this thingy popped out, it looks like a button/medallion and it's heavy.

Still a good day in my book. Thanks for the post. Let's see that medallion thing again after clean up maybe

Acme shoe blackener bottles really crude embossin. But the coloration on them is pretty cool

Thanks for the follow-up. The acme' cleaned up nice. I think you're right, that looks like a large button or decoration
