This was another tough non productive dig for me. What I did find wasn't bad. I found this eagle jar lid. I dont know what it went to but I like it. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1434584045.613650.jpg and this little bottle of "Imperial Cement". The back says "Use boiling hot and quickly". Wow! That's a terrific buckle. A great big congratulations on that find. Hat's off. Go over to today's finds and post it there. One of those guys will ID it for you.

It looks like a model 1851, but I'm no expert by any means

I will do that Bass thanks! Hey Mucky, I believe I have ID'd the eagle "lid". It goes inside a zinc lid. It is the top to a figural milk glass owl jar. The jar with the lid goes for around 150 dollars. Would be nice to have the whole thing but thats how it goes. Maybe next time i find the owl. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1434591018.536321.jpg

Woah awesome finds! That's a jar liner I would take any day of the week. But that sword plate is spectacular and would make my year.

Its great finding a belt plate like that. Just awesome. We were lucky enough to pull one form a privy. 1851 is correct sir. The lid is just icing! Congrats. jgas
