Backyard mini bottle

I found this little bottle in a Southern California backyard. Don't know anything about bottles. Can anyone help me out with a little bit of possible history? It's 2 1/8" tall and 3/4" square. Clear glass. Thanks!

It's a little med , made by Owens Illinois glass . 1936 to 1940 or so.

I agree with sunrunner. Might be too modern but if you let it get direct sun light is will will turn a light purple. Especially being in you area witch get a good amount of sun light.
