Part of a bottle found...

Hi All,

I just wanted to see if anyone can tell me a little about the bottom of a bottle my daughter found down by the stream next to our house.

It says:

Sign Patent

(cut off) -8551 5

No. 93994

I want to go back down there and take a look around - but, just wondering if anyone can tell me alittle more about this piece of bottle...
