All I have to say is I love old mill towns and they're river banks they never disappoint. So here's today's haul. But a few questions does anyone know the approximate age of the small hug which is 7.5 inches tall? And also does anyone know anything about the Weiss bier squat blob top? I've never seen one. Thanks for the help in advance.- Justin

Those are really nice! That Weiss beer one is really cool.
That's also a nice green capers bottle you got there. I found one exactly like that a few months ago, and they look great in front of the window!
Don't know anything about them off the top of my head, except that they're 1800's!

Weiss beer is German which just means white beer or wheat beer . it must be made with 50% malted wheat . really popular in the mid west in the 1880s.

Thank you jugs and stoneware usually don't survive in the ground up here either. This is only my second one I have recovered.

The weiss beer could have been a really good on had the slug plate not been empty. I will tell you this, the Hellmann from Waterbury could be a scarce variant. Bruce Mobley, a serious beer collector, has a website called beer bottle library. This one is not pictured, but doesn't mean it is worth a lot. I have been dealing with blob beers for some time now and even sent you a Winsted blob or 2 a while back. I have been trying to get rid of CT and MASS blobs for $7 to $10 with not much luck. If I dropped them down to $5 maybe. I have seen CT weiss beers go for $100 to $150 if it is a scarce one. Bruce would probably love a pic. of the Hellmann for his site, which is similar to Hutchbook for hutches. I go by botldgr03 on ebay and sell plenty of blobs weekly. RC
