Hey guys, I was gone for the weekend, family, everything's okay though. But yeah sorry I wasn't here to be a part of the discussion and everything, but you all kept the ball rolling and came up with some beautiful flasks!

Bob-E-Pin, a lot of people say warranted flasks are undesirable and I've never understood why. They are beautiful flasks, and you've got a nice one there! And that elongated oval is great too.

Showtime2385, that eagle rye is beautifully embossed, I have yet to find a 'bird' bottle! What a nice flask!

mope540, that's a great coffin you've got there. The surprising clarity of that old glass is wonderful, and it doesn't look like there's a single scratch on it!

Harry Pristis, wow, those patterned flasks are sooo darn classy! They must do wonderful things with the window light.

Great stuff, beautiful flasks everyone!

Oh my goodness, that has always been one of my favourite flasks, etex. To dig one of those would keep me happy for a very long time! Is this one a full pint or half pint?

I wish I had more flask pictures for you Harry Pristis, but first I need to find more flasks!!!

One day last week it was 14C (57F), and tomorrow it's supposed to feel like -26C (-15F). Ugh, it's toying with my emotions! haha

I do understand, having grown up in Chicago. It's hard to wrap your mind around global warming when it's -15F. It's chilly here in North Florida as well . . . it's going to go down to 49F tonight! Bundle up. I know I will.

It's going to be at least April until I'm able to dig again. It looks like the polar vortex is here and it's going to be -30 this weekend.

Let's See Your Flasks!

Here are three that I can put my hands on at the moment. 1st is a slick, very thin pocket size flask. 2nd is a Success to the Railroad with very bold embossing. Last is a 1/2 pint clasped hands flask. It is not embossed Union, but i'm leaning toward it being a Union flask ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1455324292.597443.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1455324305.553928.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1455324315.042190.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1455324417.493647.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1455324428.283126.jpg .

Okay here's a picture I just took now. It's not a flask I dug, but a little half pint shoo-fly that I bought at the flea market for a dollar. It has no internal haze or staining so on occasion I'll drink something out of it. My brother is down for the weekend and we filled it with whiskey, then we've got a little beer on the side in a nice old glass. Cheers!
