Dug this out of an old trash pile at a farm in SC. Near an old homesite that is late 1800's/early 1900's.

It says "J.T.S. Brown and Sons Distillers Louisville, KY"

Would this bottle be from around that timeframe? I've found a little info on JTS Brown and Sons, but no similar bottles.

Thanks!

Yes I think it would fit right in that time frame. Looks like a mouth blown bottle from here.

J.T.S. Brown & Sons operated in Louisville from 1871-1919, this is their address timeline, would be nice without the damage... 320-322 Main, nr 8th (1871-1881), 828-832 W. Main (1882-1888), 745-749 W. Main (1889-1894), 105 W. Main (1897-1905), 107-109 W. Main (1907-1918), 410 The Paul Jones (1919)

Thanks guys. I hate to admit, but I think I chipped off the top. Don't find glass very often, so was digging rougher than I should have.

It happens to all diggers, be happy you didn't do it to a $5,000 bottle...
