Can anyone tell me if it's unique or the age?

I've found several of the straight sided coke bottles from Rome, GA but they look different than this one.

I only have footage of the dirty bottle, my dad took it home with him to clean it so I can get better video when I see him again.

It still has the cork inside the bottle, which is pretty cool.

It is a straight side coke with the thin logo. Looks like it was made in a "cup bottom mold." These bottles were made 1913-1914. That's a nice find and I hope it doesn't have any cracks or chips. Thanks for showing it and send us some shots after clean-up. This bottle had a crown top closure, no cork

Thanks, were can I learn more about these bottles?

I found 8 that say 1915 on them, two I can't find anywhere on the internet one is "Nashville, TN" and "Alexandria, LA"

I found a Statesboro GA one that seems scarce.

I know nothing about Coke bottles but really need to learn more.

The cork isn't original to the bottle, somebody used it at a later time to seal it, 1910ish...

Bill Porter's book. "Coke Bottle Checklist" is a great reference for rarity and value. You have some very nice finds. Those bring some real dollars. You can find Bill on facebook and order the book directly from him.

If your going to collect Georgia straight sided sodas you may want to see if you can obtain a copy of this book. It was printed in 2002 and the guys who put it together did an outstanding job.

Is the amethyst bottle from Rome in that book?

thanks, hopefully I'll find that book soon, I don't see the one I found in the photos so maybe it's unique, the top is busted off though.

I've got several that aren't in that book. A complete listing I think would be impossible because some other small town or variant will pop up. Good luck on your Georgia collection. I've been working on mine for a long while. If you ever come across an Arlington or Blakely Georgia soda, I'll make a trade with you. Hard to find
