Help aging old whisky jug

This has probably been asked a million times, but I am kinda new to this and wanting help dating this jug.
I tried looking on the internet, but everything I saw with dates had some kind of marking on it and this doesn't.

I found it last weekend while my husband and I were hanging deer stands on some new hunting property we got permission to use.
Just the bottom was 1/2 sticking out of the ground.
A tree root had grown around it and pushed it out of the ground. I'm surprised it isn't broken.
And yes, I asked the property owner if he wanted it first, and he said since I went to all that trouble to dig it up I could keep it..lol

These were common turn of the century till the end of the probibition era.

looks to be stoneware probably 1900's from the looks of the style and what i find around me. BUT i could be very wrong and didn't bother to look anything up

I'd be probing the area around that tree or dig a test hole to see if there may be more! Cool find.

Yes I will be back (but probably not until after hunting, it's a great spot for hunting). I'd like to take my metal detector out there too.

Yeah, I was thinking early 1900s. The style is called a "stacker". I'd be tickled to pull it out of the dirt.

I did go back but only to check my game camera.
Curiosity got the best of me and I looked around that spot more. Made just enough noise to scare off a bedded doe so I backed out and left. Once I get some meat in the freezer ill be back for sure! I'd like to take my metal detector next time.
