This has been in my family for as long as I can remember. My parents got it in Guilford CT.They owned the Sabbath day house there in 1956/57.A local glass guy said he wasn't sure if this was old or a newer copy any ideas?

Very hard to tell with hand blown stuff like this. If you look at the studio glass movement in America, it was in the 60s. The lip not being nice leads me to believe it was not factory produced. Could be from this era of studio glass? Could also be much older from a factory working making something in his free time. If I had to guess I would say from the 60s or 70s. Before we obtained the Italian secretes to blowing glass.

It has a lot of wear on the bottom, that’s a good sign. The top is a little suspicious though, very funky, almost too funky. Yet it could be the real deal. Need someone with more experience with these to take a look at it. How tall is it?

In my opinion I think it is a 20th century art glass or reproduction piece. The lip, the form, the color, the pontil and the size do not look to be of a period Pitkin piece to me. Still a nice item, having value for what it is.

Pretty flask but unfortunately the flask isn't pitkin. This bottle isn't a German half post. And the color isn't correct most of these bottles are a dark olive green. It could be a clevenger piece or possibly came from South of the border. download.jpeg

I think I agree. The color and size don’t look right. The wear on the bottom could be fabricated as well

Thanks guys.It looks to nice to be real old.The wear on the bottom is probably from my mother moving it to dust for 50 years
