Found this while walking the banks of the Savannah River looking for fossils and artifacts. It's the first one I've found and I don't know anything about them.I know that where I found it was a real old railway that went along the river that is now a trail. It was barely sticking out of the muck.It says Whitall Tatum No.1 on one side and Made in U.S.A. 7-41 with an A circled on the other side.I've seen posts here about them and I was real happy with the find.If anyone has any info please let me know. Thanks!! HH!!

Thanks guys for the link and the area info.I'll keep looking for them. The area I found this one is almost directly across from Fort Pulaski along what used to be the train rail that carried people from Savannah to Tybee island. Now it's just a 6 mile trail, but at low tide there seems to be an endless possibility of finds in all the mud. Thanks again..HH!!
