My wife and I were out geocaching and went to this town park. Before entering the woods section we detected the tot lot. Found 46 cents. After geocaching the woods, I spotted these two white lumps up ahead. Thought they were left over snow. They were packed full of wet mud. Two questions entered my head. Why didn't they ever freeze and break and how did they get here.

I did some researching and found they are from about 1940 and the company made tableware for restaurants. I could find no info on the insignia. If anyone can get more info, it would be appreciated.

Yeah, I'd have had to keep those as well. It's pretty cool that you found a set of them. The Army's headquarters for medical is at Fort Sam Houston Texas. Could be from there?

Yeah I think they would make good coffee mugs for the house.

Definite keepers. McNicol and Shenango made restaurant-ware and some are highly collectible if there are logos or advertising on them. My .50 GW Shenango 'Little Tavern Shops' mug sold for nearly $60. McNicol also made them.
An early McNicol or Shenango White Castle mug will sell in the thousands.

over the years, I have dug things like coffee cups, and if they are in great shape, I dishwasher them 2 to 3 times and use them every day, good find
