Hey everybody I hope all is well. It's been a long time since I have posted any finds. In the past months I have relocated from nwCT to Berkshire county mass into a beautiful 1860s Victorian home. Well the other day I was down in my basement doing laundry when I noticed a boarded up passage way. which I thought was a boarded up window at first but then I realized its a crawl space to underneath my front porch. So I grabbed a hammer and wrecking bar and decided to open it up. Well it was totally worth it . I opened it up and right in front of me was a bottle sticking out. And to my amazement it was whole. It's a nice light Amber applied lip whiskey or Porter bottle? I also did a little scratching around and found some pottery shards. Definitely cool finds. You never know what your going to find in an old house. Thanks for looking - Justin

Thanks man. I'm pretty psyched about this find. I'm thinking about digging this out in have a feeling there could be more in there.

These crawlspace and under-the-floor finds are always the coolest, it's too bad they don't happen more often. Haha, you only just got there and you already found some mystery hole in the wall with an applied top bottle inside. Dig and sift that thing, we've gotta know what's under that dirt!

Thank you everybody. The first chance I have I am going to dig and sift through this crawl space. But does anyone know if the bottle would be used for a porter or whiskey?

I lean toward brandy, but a whiskey of some sort either way. Beautiful shade of yellow amber.
