Hey, sorry for posting so much but I was wondering if anyone could help identify this small glass fragment. I found it in a dried out creek last summer. It appears less water-worn, and as a result is more translucent. It appears green in the light and has air bubbles. I was thinking it was part of a wine bottle, but I might be wrong. If anyone could give me a rough estimate of its age or what it may have been apart of, that would be much appreciated. Thanks! 461484E1-93D6-4FC5-A540-D679331C467E.jpeg 20184CB6-A78B-4552-AD0A-11A24AA9547D.jpeg A9D7E057-256D-4D5E-80F2-C0D2CBF97BA5.jpeg FBC80195-E2D4-4D3A-9328-3D35D43A1987.jpeg

I looked again and in that second picture, is there little sharp bits embedded in the bottom?

There appears to be in two places, yes. One appears quite distinct. Why do you think it is like that, and what does it mean. Thanks!

I'm just guessing, because it's really tough to tell from the pictures, but if it's pontiled, it could be 1850s or a little earlier. You gotta find a whole one, man.

That’s interesting, it’s a shame it is broke. Thanks for the response, and if you don’t mind me asking what are some tips for finding bottle dumps? Thanks regardless!

For starters, work your way upstream. That stuff has to be coming from somewhere.
