The next pit over!

Well we hammered out the pit next to the big beer hole. Not sure whether or not the property changed hands between the two but it kinda looked that way. Only a couple beers that were broke. Lots of small slick meds. And a handful of different Inks. One we are particularly proud to save. A really cool umbrella ink that is pontiled.

Found a couple of patent meds. A JR Miller Magnetic Balm and an old stoneware fruit jar full of seeds. Pretty cool. Wish those seeds were coins. Lol. Not a bad day all in all. It was fun to get out again. The other side of the fence holds another pit in a different yard. Time to go get after it! Be safe out there folks. Jgas.

I wonder why they threw away the seeds? Years ago, I dug a small butter churn that was on its side and never filled with dirt. When I dug it out it had a egg shell inside like it had been tossed out right after breakfast.

Great haul, gas! I love that umbrella. Those things vary quite a bit in profile, some with sharp corners, etc., but yours has something special going on. Reminds me of this Waters ink. Keep on keeping on!

Awesome dig. The umbrella ink is kind of an unusual shape. I have never seen one like that.

Hey guys thanks for the replies. Yeah I thought so too about the ink. A really cool mold I’ve never seen. Kinda cupped on the bottom so the Pontil wouldn’t make it tipsy on the desk. Only thing better would have been embossed. Jgas.
