I was up the street digging a pile of old broken bottles. I was hoping to find whole one because the tops were beautiful bitters and bar back bottles. This was attached to one of the tops. It was wrapped on by pewter or lead. It has a small little dish inside that acts like a valve. I tried to research it but I haven't gotten anywhere. Let me know what you all think. I didn't think they had a way to control how much came out of a bottle back then. If that's what this is. From what I can tell it reads WISON D CO. Pat applied for. It should date around 1900 or so. It's amazing that corks can come out looking like new after so long. The little cup inside with the red arrow moves up and down. Thanks for any information!!! I think it was a measuring devise to allow only one shot to pour. I think similar ones are used today. I'm no expert, I do my drinking at home.

Thanks No gold, Thanks for the verification. I just have never seen or heard of any dating back to the turn of the century. I was hoping someone would have a collection and say oh wow you found the rare Wison! Banner! Customers and bartenders never liked this item. Don't think you will ever see one of these in the old west movies. I'm guessing it's rare, I sure can't find another one online. If anyone has any other types please post them up. I think this was attached to a case gin bottle. I used to bartend and those things stink.
