Some Ebay sellers will try anything. Maybe they are hoping that a novice collector with more money than brains will come along. You know the old saying- "There's a sucker born every minute".
DOWN WITH AMERICAN DIGGERS, SAY NO TO SPIKE TV! THEY MAKE ALL OF US LOOK BAD!

I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines. I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.

When you get into a tight place and everything goes against
you till it seems you could not hold on a minute longer,
never give up then for that is just the place and time that
the tide will turn.
If you guys are throwing those back into the hole, you need to rethink your actions. As more and more places become off limits to bottle diggers and treasure hunters of all types, those bottles and other things that we take for granted will become scarcer and therefore more valuable. Today's junk will become tomorrow's treasure. Think about it.
I agree to a point. $5ea. on a good day just isn't enough to junk up the house or even clean. I know places where you can pick up hundreds of early ABM bottles, but, where you gonna put'em for 25 yrs.? I see your point on the dumps though.
To me?Alot! That thing took some time to find. I ended up getting 3 but this was the only full one. I was new to bottle digging and was throwing broke in-situ ones to the side-until fellow vet digger came over. Too late. Scattered and covered up for eternity. Not sure about the $.
Here's my prize-Not gonna clean this one yet. It's signed on the handle too.
