Hubby dug me up an old ink well bottle, sweet!
Working at an old school that was founded in 1879, my husband always keeps an eye out for old bottles for me. I was pretty excited about this one being part of my collection. Not sure of the exact date on this one, my guess is late 1800's from what I have found. No markings on it what so ever. Cleaned up real nice though and already in it's special home. Thanks Hubby!

Now you need to go to yard sales and find ya an old school desk with an inkwell to put it in!
I used to have one (a school desk) mounted on wooden supports that I would have sent you but an ex wife got it!

Re: Hubby dug me up an old ink well bottle, sweet!
It's rather old. Are there any bubbles in the class? Seams in the mold? If you look at mine you can see all the bubbles makes it pretty old 1800's anyways?

Re: Hubby dug me up an old ink well bottle, sweet!
More then likely that is a musledge bottle rather then an ink. Inks usually have shorter tops . Your age is right tho. 1880 t0 about 1910. Real Nice color.

I think you're talking to me and not Zax? I was fairly certain of the age. Are you going to make me research "musledge" ? Or are you going to tell me about it?
