Bud Light Bottle
This bottle showed up at the Elks Club a few years ago while the girls were stocking beer. It was given to me because they knew I collected bottles.
As you can see it is a non returnable Root Beer bottle that was filled at the brewery.
Just wondering if anyone knows how often that happens and if it is collectable?
Thanks Itownguy

Re: Bud Light Bottle
Don't have a clue what that is worth but I would sure hang on to it. That will be one cool conversation piece for a very long time.

Re: Bud Light Bottle
...and by no means drink it. If it's worth anything it's worth more with the beer in it. I am sure that somebody somewhere will know about stuff like this. I would venture a guess that the contractor making the bottles for the brewery also makes the bottles for the rootbeer compay and the rootbeer bottle somehow made it's way into the bud bottle production line and got missed by budweiser QA/QC.

Re: Bud Light Bottle
If it was labeled on the bottling line, i would venture to guess that a mischievous employee slid it in
well after the inspection process, most likely someone was/is yankin `yer chain.

Re: Bud Light Bottle
It's still pretty neat. Even if it is a prank it's still unique and could be worth something to someone who collects beer bottles. Some of the biggest collections of bottles I have seen were guys that collected new, full, beer bottles and cans. He had been doing it since he was a kid and the oldest one was from something like 1950. If I ever see him again, I will point him in your direction. He might give you some money for it.

Re: Bud Light Bottle
When I got the bottle there was still such a thing a returnable bottles and this bottle with a case of returnables, so I would think that it just slipped by whatever checks the bottles instead of being someone pulling a prank..

Re: Bud Light Bottle
