    Can some one ID this bottle?

    I wanted to get some info on this one. I could not find any and all i have to go off of is the writting on the front.

    I can post better pictures if needed, now as for research what do you recommend? I could not find anything on the A.J. ABBOTT name or the Chicago board of trade and their relation with Gainesville FL.

    That's a nice strapside. I would start with bottle collectors in Chicago and Gainsville. There is a better chance a collector in those towns will know more, or at least how rare that slug plate is. SWR is right. You may have a pretty valuable bottle there. Strapsides around here go for 20 bucks or so with no slug plate and in common colors, and 50-100 in rare colors. It's amber or yellow to me but you might have to tumble it before you'll know for sure. I don't know how rare either color is, but I know around here they are way less common than clear and aqua. The name on the slug and the color make that a really nice find. Wherever you got that, get back there and dig some more!
