    landstar

Been detecting bout six months. Checked my landstar against a gold chain and cross and I had to back my disc to 8 oclock position to get a low tone.I had been at around the 12 to 2 oclock position and getting pennies, dimes and quarters. This took out the pull tabs. No gold all this time I guess lesson learned ?

    Re: landstar

i'm using it for about a month already.

i believe sometimes its not about looking at the display, but listening to the sounds. but i do believe sometimes its up to your own feeling whether you decide to dig the stuff.
    - pull tab sound off around med tone
    - batteries sound off in all kinds of tone, low, med, high
    - keys sound off in med, high tone
    - coins sound off in low, med, high tone depending on whether there's oxidization on it
    - nails sound off in low tone, very low tone

but i do know that gold sound off in low tone. tried some gold objects. got to increase the sensitivity to about 2 o'clock position and disc to 10 o'clock when i get sounding off the detector.

    hope that helps.

anything to share with me about this detector? i'm still new too.

    cheers
