Yeah SemperFi, Fast Tracker doesn't have much on it but Discrimination and Sensitivity and a Ear Phone jack. Turn Dis. knob all the way clockwise to find nothing but coin and silver. You have to turn Disc. knob counter clockwise to fine gold item along with all the aluminum pull tabs and junk. You have to dig that stuff up if you want to find gold. I suggest getting a gold ring or something gold and turn Disc. knob all the way clockwise. Then start little by little turn counter clockwise till ring tones off on your detector. That's where you will know your gold range if you want to find it. I would just start out with coin. I believe your detector has different tone for Coin,Gold and Junk. Mess around with it with different type of metals and you will know what to dig. Coin is usually a high tone and gold low tone. Good luck
