Getting Bounty Hunter 505 probably tomorrow..

Hey all. Got a Garrett Infinium LS about 2 weeks ago or so and stuck on the bounty hunter which I should receive tomorrow (long story why the delay but its fine).

Any recommended reads (besides these forums) on the operation of a pioneer 505? Looking forward to tinkering with it.
    Thanks.

    GOT IT!!
Unfortunately Kellyco doesn't ship batteries with it but luckily those are cheap.
Got 4 and 8 inch coils.

    So any recommended reads?

Your 505 is a great machine. Take the time to learn it, and it will not let you down. I absolutely love mine. I have posted about it a bunch of times on here and also have a you tube video about it. Search my past posts. I have some pointers in those for sure. In my particular area, the depth to identify a target is approx. 5 to 7 inches, but it will, in all metal mode, pick up the core of the planet....slight exaggeration, but you get my drift. I have learned that when it gives me conflicting signals, the target is usually deeper, but as long as it does not go into the foil range, it is usually a good target. It is a very sensitive machine that, until you learn what it is saying, you might think is malfunctioning. Be patient, learn its language, and enjoy it. It is, for what my opinion is worth,(nadda) a great investment. A lot of detector for a little price. My favorite coil over all is the 4 inch. The 8 inch coil is great and the 10 in. coil, unless you are hunting in fields (very little trash) for really deep stuff (relics) is not necessary. The many signals that it will pick up (at the same time) in parks or modern areas will be confusing to a novice. Have fun and HH.
