    Relic Hunting

    Re: bounty 505?mp5?mpx?ace150?f2?

What type of hunting are you looking to do? I have a Bounty Hunter that I love. I am a relic hunter and it is absolutely killer on deep iron and very small bits of iron. A friend of mine has the F2 that he bought for a backup and it is all he uses for parks and tot-lots. The 505 will find old coins. There is one person that has had good luck finding colonial coins in New England with his. You might also consider the Tesoro Compadre. It is supposed to be very good on small gold and has a life time warranty (plus a GREAT price).

looking for all around.relic is my favorite, would like some gold huntin as well.
    coins for the fun.
just bought a bh fortune hunterfor $150,seems pretty cool, better than the quicksilver i just returned.
the fortune does go deep, I was finding 30-06 shells about 8 -12 inches deep at an old army base.
but im thinkin bout the ace 150 for a few bucks more and or the others I listed.
real intrested in the story behind the mp digital brand, what do you think?

Hey bevo! So your into relics n such. If you havnt got a machine yet I just wanted to suggest the 505. In all metal mode it goes deep. It says it goes bout 12 inches on a coin sized object. It does that and more on a tiny nail. It takes some gettin used to but it does go deep. The 505 goes deep trust me!! :P Did I mention it goes deep?

taking the bh fortune hunter back and getting the ace 150.
the bh wouldnt pick up gold nuggets till the size of a quarter, while the 150 got
it at the size of a pebble.
will definetly purchase better models as i go.
thanx for the heads up,and yes my bh go's deep as well, got a penny at 8 inches
on 3/4 disc and 1/4 sens
    later

I'll bet you the Tesoro Compadre will pick up smaller gold than the 150.

    Just sayin'......

    Relic Hunting

    Re: bounty 505?mp5?mpx?ace150?f2?

Out of all of those, the Compadre has the reputation for hitting on tiny gold. I have just about one of the cheapest Bounty Hunter machines out there. It is the Fast Tracker. It works VERY well with the Fisher F4 11" DD coil on it for iron. I have dug measured relics at 18". PLEASE NOTE - This is the only non-Bounty Hunter coil that will work on Bounty Hunter machines.
