any tips or good info on bounty hunter discovry 1100

I have a discovery 1100, and if you disciminate both the iron and midrange settings, almost everything you dig should be a coin . Thats how it works for me.

If you discriminate mid tones and you will miss a lot of gold rings (some gold rings come up as pulltabs), zinc pennies and some indian head pennies. Indians will come up either high or mid tones depending on the year. Newer indians come up as zinc pennies on the BH.

You will however get silver and clad and that can add up fast.

Play around with it. I would discriminate iron and dig everything else until you get bored with it then disc mids.

Some gold comes up as foil on the BH as well so don't disc foil.

It wouldn't surprise me. They are not going anywhere and in order to stay alive they need to put out new machines.

The platinum looks like a great machine and, correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand that is their newest model.

The have to come out with something with all the bells and whistles in order to compete now a days.

I hope they are coming out with a really good machine because I love my Land Star.
