Teknetics T2 metal detector software version

I heard there is a way to check which software version there is on a T2 . Mine is 6.0 but i have a chance to buy another one and i want to know which software version it has .Thanks in advance !

Press the menu button in and hold and press the trigger forward and hold and then turn the detector on while holding the trigger forward and menu button down. If it is version 6.0 the screen will read 6.0.

i just got a T2 and yes its impressive.Been playing with it for two days, ya know, testing the waters. However i tried your method to check the software version and all i get is 8.8. everytime.

What I have heard and read is the 8.8 is made in the USA. When I do the test, I get 6.
Must be made in China.I still love it. Greate machine.

i asked the company cause i was afraid mine was made in china but they said it was the software version for those made after 2009
