    John s. Higgins soap box

I have had this thing for as long as I can remember. My great grandfather for some reason or another wrote his name and the year on the paper tag inside. 1892. I just think it's funny that he would put the year. anyone else know about people doing this kind of thing. My great grandma has no clue why he did it she is 100 this year. The one funny thing she told me is if I want to find his old booze stash to look in the basement. (dirt floor). Anyone have any experince with people putting dates on the inside of boxes? I also have somewhere an old wood douche box funny how there are no names or dates in that one!
