Whites XLT

I bought this on ebay and was wondering if I got a good deal. I have used Garrett 1350 but as you know there is always the other detector to try. I would like to know any tips anyone would have on using this detector. My brother wanted a detector and could always sell it to him. Thank you ahead of time.

Never owned an XLT but know someone that does. They have no complaints. In my opinion you can stack a Whites against any other make. Arguably the best makers of detectors there is. You made a good choice. In all the polls on these forums asking which detector do you own, Whites is always number one.

Assuming the detector and accessories are in good condition I don't think you overpaid. I have had an XLT for 7 years and I really like it. I don't think you can go wrong with the XLT for your first MD.

Learn how to use it and you will get many years of good use out of it.

I would recommend that you invest in rechargeable batteries (Whites recommends Alkaline). You will save a bundle in the long run.
