It's not just about depth

A father and son using a Garrett ACE 150 METAL DETECTOR
ir
while treasure hunting in Romania and discovered what could be oldest forged coins in history. The ancient counterfeit coins are worth approximately $150,000.00. US. Dollars.

Paul Croituru, 37, dug up the treasure of 300 forged silver coins worth nearly $150,000.00 - more than ten times what he earns a year as a council worker.

The father and son found 309 coins believed to be worth 500.00 each, as well as 40 fragments of the forged currency. The coins are believed to be the oldest counterfeit coins ever found!

The father and son immediately notified authorities of their amazing find and astonishingly will now lose nearly all of the money because of local treasure hunting rules.

I wouldn't have called anybody had I found it.

It's an awesome find though. I read another story somewhere about a kid who found a huge treasure hoard with an Ace 150. I believe it was his first hunt too.
