    what about these two buttons?

    Hi, I am learning slowly about buttons and was looking into this one one the right side of the pic. The one that kinda looks like a sun rays.

    I think the one on the left that isn't a flat button, is from 1840's.

    Thanks for any help.

    Most if not all of those are nice early 1800s buttons...

    R. & W. ROBINSON - 1836-1848

    Your sun-burst button is from the same era... "rich gold colour" quality mark was common then indicating the amount of gold gilting it once had.
