    Help Id and date button?

Found a large military button today its an eagle with the stars above its head, I think it pretty common just wondering how old it is. The back mark say " Scovill MF'G Co Waterbury ". I will upload a pic later if anyone is interested.

Sounds like a modern (post 1902) general service button. Not a bad button to find!

It looks to be about WWI. They did not start using the Great seal buttons until 1902. WWI they had a rimless button later ones have a raised rim around the edge.
