    Any Button experts out there?? *(Pics)*

    I found this button at a site where I have recovered 3 different 1700's Spanish coins and many different flat buttons. It appears to be an early colonial site but I am unable to find any information on the backmark of this button.

    Has anyone found buttons with this backmark?

    Can anyone help date the button for me. It looks like an imperial crown on the back along with "BEST QUALITY"

    Being thick like that it probably dates towards the end of the flat button era.... maybe 1830s/40s.
