I have a similar button I found back in the mid 1980's...I recently got my camera out and took some pics of most of them...Your button helps me to date mine, I always thought mine was of WWII era but that was me just assuming.

Hard to appreciate from your pic, but it seems that the round edge in your's is different. Not sure though
