Just a few "Beach Buttons" I have found over the last year. Rev. War and later.

Just some photos of the buttons I have found on the beach over the last year or two. Several are Rev. War time frame and some later.

All three buttons at the top have anchors on them, 2 brass and one pewter.

2nd row has the British 6th Regiment of Foot button, one that looks like it has a "3" and the last with an anchor.

3rd row all single piece 4 holed buttons . Smallest has writing on it and "Liverpool" but can't find much on it.

Last row is a British Merchant Seaman button and the other that has an "SA" on that I still haven't gotten an ID on yet.

Any help someone may have on ID on any of them is much appreciated!

Thanks GatorBoy! I did get an answer back on the SA button from the manufacturer (who is still in business):

"I can only add a little I'm afraid as its not British but actually Australian, with the letters being for South Australia. More common is SAR the R being for Rifles. Date wise I believe it has to be 1855-1901 as the style of button doesnt start until 1855 (in the British Army at least) and the crown changes post 1901, so perhaps safer to say its pre 1901 for sure"!
