Found this button last night right next to a half cent. Have it up on what is it but no luck yet. Closest thing I can find is this View attachment 1393417

Half was 1809. Have found 1730's twenty reis. 1800's large cents. And a bunch of other deep targets there. Would love to pin this button down.

I could find none from Revolutionary times to present for U.S. Navy.

The Reis could mean Hessian. German Soldiers of Fortune hired by British during that era.
