Have a friend who has a number of interesting buttons from her grandmother's sewing kit. Any info/direction to search would be much appreciated. They all appear to be brass, as best I can tell.

NOBODY?? Here I was bragging to her about how knowledgeable and helpful everyone was, and nobody can tell me anything about any of the buttons??

Bury them and dig them back up, then post those pictures. I don't think anybody here recognizes anything so clean and shiny.

I'm pretty sure that one is the same as a button that I dug this summer that had me all worked up, until someone pointed out that it was a replica, and one that you can still buy today. I suspect that may be true of many of those in your grandma's collection, but I am not an expert.

If any of them have manufacturer's names stamped on the back, I'd pay attention to those first.

Probably did not get any answer because there is nothing of real significance. I see a Moderd post ww2 military button and some civilian brass buttons. Nothing to get excited about!
