Here are a just a few of the civil war buttons I dug from the site of a former civil war hospital in Wisconsin. Eagle "I" coat, dragoon cuff, and "unknown" eagle coat, all dug from the same 14 acre site.

My favorite part of this hobby is the history. Finding an item for me is just the beginning. It gives me a research subject. :)
