Button date help

I found what i believe is a overall button, it says ( The Putnam ) and thats it, can anyone date a button with just that info? just trying to get a ballpark date to go with a old house site . thanks.

Sawmill, I think I've dug a Putnam before.Brass with an iron back? I've always put those in the 1930's or40's era
