It's a 1-piece with possible gold gilt. It's 13.6 mm in diameter. Any assistance with helping get a positive ID is greatly appreciated.ATB!

1812 button I believe.

I sure appreciate the assistance! It's quite possible it's from that time. There were a lot of different troops that passed through that fort back in the day. It seems some of the items recovered from the site go back to the 1820's. From what I've researched (online), similar buttons were used on forage caps and cuffs. Thanks again!
