I recently found this button and searched the Internet for information on it. Not much found about it. It was found near a wagon road. The button says “ INLAND Mfg. Co. and is the size of a nickel. Any ideas how old and what it would of been attached to? Thanks.
I would hazard a guess that it's WW2 era. Inland Mfg Co was a division of General Motors, they made steering gears among other things. During WW2 they also made the US 30 Carbine. Mine is stamped Inland Mfg Div, General Motors, 9-44 (September 1944). So...that's my guess anyway, cool find!
