Button - How Old?

I found this today at a private permission site. Was down 4 inches in the soil. Was really odd detecting conditions, it rained last night and every iron target was going insane. There was also an electric fence nearby so that may have contributed also.
Not sure on age of this button and open to your input. Pic taken after clean up. It is roughly the size of a dime, maybe slightly less.

WW1 or WW2 cuff button. Probably WW2 would be my guess.

I have spoke with the family that owns the land this was found on. Their grandfather had a brother that was in WW1. I have decided to give this button to them. It's their history.
