    Troy Shadow X5

I just bought a Troy Shadow X5 for use treasure hunting. A great detector. Has one of the smoothest tones and boy is it sensitive. Very lightweight. A lot of the Civil war guys are using them so I thought I would give it a try. They are expensive, about $1000. I picked one up on ebay for $680 If you are in the market for a detector take a look at one. Troy has a forum on their web site. They do detect deep, about 18" on a penny with a 9" coil. I have a few detectors but I think the X5 is my main unit now. Went on a trip with Dave (pa) and I found a ram rod end and trigger guard from a civil war ambush site out in the middle of the Pa Mountains with it. I just bought the 5" coil and can't wait to try it.
