In 1699 Captain Kidd buried a large treasure on Gardiner's Island. It included Silver Coin, Gold, and Jewels. It was one of the very few Treasures ever to be recovered.

In my opinion that's not JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is the only credible cache left behind by Kidd, and it was found immediately following his arrest. He was a very unsuccesful privateer and started spouting stories from his jail cell about caches all up and down the eastern US coast to try and get his captors to let him out. If it was true he turned pirate he was a terrible one at that. All those stories are B.S. and I'd venture a guess they all originate with the captain trying to save his hide. You'd be better off moving to florida and diving off the treasure coast searching for shipwrecks.
Never underestimate the stupidity of people.

Many people believe that the good Captain bury treasures in many states. Good luck in searching for them.
