    Antique Maps

So, anyone know of any good place to get old city and territory maps pre 1800's? Ones that are either public or cheap? Dont collect them, just need to look at them

    thanks!

Try your local library. They might have a map room or a local history section.

http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/gmdhtml/gmdhome.html This library of congress link may be of some help to you. Of course, others may post other links as well. Hope it helps.

    Re: Antique Maps

Try this web site. There is a wealth of information. Its a genealogy site with tons of links to census, geological surveys, cemeteries etc..Takes a while to look through due to all the info but well worth the effort. Look under "United States regions & localities within the state" click on state you desire ,scroll down to "Maps, Gazetteers & Geographical Information". I have used this to find many old house sites. Good Luck -------------------------http://cyndislist.com/
