$2.3 million in gold and silver in VA - you make the movie...
This guy actually buried his money with him. It's a trick to find the article, but scroll down to the 7th picture on the right (ignore left pics). It should show the small VA tomb where he was buried.
Hard to believe this is the real deal from 120 years ago! Okay, let's make a movie. How would criminals (certainly not us) plan to steal the loot? What's the plot and technology?

This Is one that makes you rub your chin. Veeeery Interesting.
Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you. Acts 13:41

Thanks for asking, Spotz. No, I haven't. Without going into too much detail, my friend purposely keeps his distance from his father. It is a very strained relationship. His father lives in the home (with the grandmother) and last time we were out there (a year ago), he came out and had some words with us. My friend would rather let the caches rot than deal with his father. But his dad will be moving soon to the coast with his girlfriend and we'll have more freedom to go for it. Aside from that, both of our schedules are super busy and I am not allowed to go on the land by myself. I keep asking about scheduling a time to go and he says we'll go after his dad leaves. Thanks again for asking.
